A haunting depiction of war’s toll on ordinary lives, Klondike is set during the early days of Russia’s invasion of Donbas. Through the intimate story of a pregnant woman refusing to flee her home, the film captures the uncertainty and impossible choices that have come to define Ukrainian life since 2014.
The screening will be preceded by the director’s short film: BANKA / THE JAR (7min)
Following the screening, there will be a Q&A with director Maryna Er Gorbach.
